*Full Snow Moon of CHANGE*
Its full moon again. Today has been tough. So many things surfacing, so many things inside that are screaming for confrontation and resolution. A closure. So I can move on. Have to admit that this big day of Wisdom and learning has my absolute permission to end soon! I thank you greatly deep wisdom day. I'm looking forward to being rocked to sleep by the full moon's bright rays, mystically lighting up my room. .... forming moonlight shadows! Love that song.. sometimes its like that!
The moonlight shadow of the tree in my garden just now
Would love to express more, so I will do that tomorrow morning. One more thing thought before I stop, I just received one of my favorite newsletters from White Wolf Journeys, Robbyne LaPlant, and there she was talking about Madonna's half game show at the Super Bowl in America. I had just watched it on Youtube. I really admire Madonna, she has the courage, she dares to BE. Not everything about Madonna (the brand) is to my liking, but her message for Peace always gets through, and she is such an inspiration, to fully shine our brightest. Like the STARS we are. In the end of her show the words WORLD PEACE lit up the ground, and I was so touched! And then the game continued. So symbolic, the show must go on but this time we want
Peace and to be at Ease
* Good night sweet souls*
Its 9.20 am on the 8th of February. My Full Moon calendar, here on the right side, says its still 100% Full Moon. It was beautiful going to bed last night. I needed change, so once again I put my pillow where my feet usually are (love to do that for a change of scenery, I also think it gives me different dreams). Turned like that I could be bathed in the Full Moon rays, getting the deep cleansing effects of its radiating energy. In this position the moon shone right into my face, but softly* Kissing my forehead, whispering that now things WILL change and that all WILL be ok. Reassuring me that I'm in the midst of big CHANGES, like every one of us on Earth.
We are all going through this as ONE

* Brigit's Day ~ Candlemas, the 2nd of February*
There are stirrings within the womb of Mother Earth. Light is quickening* The seeds that were planted on Winter Solstice are beginning to sprout. Outside my window everything is still covered with snow, the ground, the trees, the rooftops. But today, the 2nd of February is the midway between the solstice and the gifts of Ostara, so the promise of spring is around the corner.
Today we light a candle for the Celtic Goddess Brigit, the Triple Fire Goddess. Brigit's three aspects are: Fire of Inspiration as patroness of poetry, Fire of the Hearth, as patroness of healing and fertility, and Fire of the Forge, as patroness of smithcraft and martial arts.
She has many sides and faces to her, but she is always associated with fire, and to me that also means courage, and the strength to carry on. In the Northern hemisphere we are starting to feel the heavy burden of a long winter, thankful for all the lessons, but longing for more light and lightness in Life. Brigit gives us that extra spark to keep on, not to fall back and give up. She is the bringer of hope*
Today I dedicated my candle prayer to Brigit, to ANU the Mother of Goddesses and to Mother Mary
Live well and be Happy*
*LOVE*

~ New Moon & the return of the Water Dragon ~
I'm preparing for my New Moon ceremony tonight! I'm so excited! I feel like I have been waiting for this day for some years now.
It all made sence when I received a newsletter from White Wolf Journeys, Robbyne LaPlant, 4 days ago, a fascinating read about that today is the Chinese New Year of the Water Dragon. WOW! Love it. It gets me all excited. Water and Dragon, power, good luck and good fortune, growth, prosperity, FLOW. Robbyne inspired me to celebrate today, so today has been all about preparing and tuning into the auspicious year ahead. For a ritual, she suggested a ceremony where you write your intentions on a paper, fold it towards you, signaling your receptivity, put it in a red envelope and under a candle, red preferably, but it is the intention that matters.
I love this image I got sent from my beautiful friend, Grace. The Unity of Quan Yin and the Dragon, such pure strength and compassion. Support. Oneness. No slaying of dragons to portrait strength, but with compassion she is riding the dragon. They support eachother. It is symbolic for the wisdom of having your 'demons' serve you, not threaten you.
I wish you all magnificent and transformational changes* Love, Compassion and Lots of Laughter*

Before you write your intentions, you prepare your own sacred space, bring in all the elements, the candle for Fire, Water in a bowl or a glass, incence or a feather like I do for Air, and flower or stone to honor Earth. Aferwards I'm going to the Ocean to connect with the New Moon, the sacred water element.. and greet the Water Dragon, to welcome its energy into my life Ahhhhhhhh... BEAUTY*

I decided to add this video to the post, very relevant and a good read with nice pics :) Enjoy*

*Celebrating 'The Thirteenth' *
![]() |
Art: Susan Seddon Boulet |
The thirteenth and last day of Christmas is about to be whirled into the vortex of time. The 'Thirteenth' as we call it in Iceland, has as long as I remember been celebrated with bonfires, and parades with santa clauses and trolls singing and dancing. Around the fires the songs of elves travelling in the light of the Moon are sung and people light their last fireworks from New Year‘s Eve! Tonight is namely the night when the elves and the hidden people move between locations, so there is always the chance of us and them crossing paths on this magical eve!
The moon outside my kitchen window was immense tonight, with many colorful circles around it, breathtakingly beautiful. I tried to capture the magic of it on my camera, it worked ok, but with the naked eye it was of course much bigger and I could see all the valleys and the shadows so clearly, and then so majestically embraced by these multicolored 'halos'.
I remember my parents making elfmasks for my sister and I. They were pretty, glittery pretty. I wish I had a photo to post, but just imagine paper eye-masks, covered with foil, with lots of lined up colored paliettes that made the eyebrows. The wholes for the eyes were exceptionally well cut, almond shaped and the tops of the masks were then cut in the shape of flames, very fine indeed. I loved wearing mine, it just made the whole experience of this particular eve of the 'Thirteenth' a very special one!
Below are three famous elf songs sung on New Year's Eve and on the 'Thirteenth' in Iceland. They linger in my Icelandic childhood heart* Enjoy *

*New Years Day of Joy*
I almost can't believe it! Is it really here? Has this long awaited year of 2012 arrived? It is a bit too much almost. Feel like laughing. So strange really. For so many years we have been hearing many things about what will happen in 2012, how the world will change in 2012, so many prophecies, meanings, interpretations and so much wisdom has been poured into our minds and hearts about this famous year. What will happen? Who knows? Well, I have a lot of suggestions, some of them I think are the right answers, maybe! Exactly, I don't have a clue. But what I do know is that some-thing, some-vibe, some peaceful energy, is on the horizon. I'm a believer, I believe that we can live in Harmony and Joy, I feel, I sense, and most importantly, I am. I am, and I am Light, maybe that's enough, maybe that reflects the beauty of simplicity, to just sense and experience that. Nothing more is essential. At least for the time being that’s my truth, I might make new discoveries tomorrow ;)
This is what today has brought me; to be Light, to be all Light means, not heavy, light in spirit, laugh, enjoy life, be energy, radiate, be powerful, be a star. Twinkle! Be the flame who can easily light another flame without becoming smaller or even seize to exist. Flame who sparks another person's flame. Flame, a torch who lights up the mundane life so many of us get wrapped in. Colourful, like the flame. Alive. And warm, it’s good to be a warm character. It's rewarding to us and to all around us.
The video beneath is from Norway, but it reminds me of my Mother Iceland, it could be from Iceland actually, and the Northern Lights... ohhh so beautiful. And Eivør's voice, enchanting, she is from the Farao Islands, but sings in many languages. Here is 'Den Liuse Dag', reminding us of the magic of New Years. I belive that from now until the 6th of January is a time when the veils between worlds is thin. On 'Threttándinn' or The Thirteenth (day of Christmas) we in Iceland celebrate the end of the holiday season, the official last day of Christmas, with bonfires and singing and the evening and night is dedicated to elves and other beings hidden to the naked eye. We open the doors to new adventures*
Happy and joyous 2012 to all*

*Long Nights Full Moon*
Beautiful people, beautiful life.
Happy Full Moon, Long Nights Moon and Full Moon in Sagittarius. Ostara greetings*
I love my bedroom window. I don‘t have an ocean view, seeing the sun rise and set each day. I can’t see any snow covered mountain tops and there is no green forest calling my name, alluring me to come and play with the forest fairies and enchanted beings. But I can see the sky!
This morning I woke up with this soothing yellow, pinkish light filling the room with calmness and softness. It was so beautiful. I turned around in bed, with my head where my feet usually are, stacked pillows, cuddled my duvet and just watched the sky for a bit. The clouds were moving and I soon saw the sky. It was so crisp and ice blue, totally radiant. Like the inside of an iceberg. Then it started snowing. I think I have never seen snow fall down as slowly, I could almost talk to each individual snow flake. So Sacred.
In memory this will be the morning of the last Full Moon of 2011. Soon we will say goodbye to this year and take a journey through 2012. And who knows what that year will unfold.
The December full moon has been called a few names, but the one I connect the most with is The Full Long Nights Moon. Coming from Iceland I know long nights, and yes, now is the time where we almost desperately yearn for more light. But, there is magic in the darkness. Magic that gives birth to sacredness each morning of our lives.

.. a wish come true*
The creators of this little enchanted video, husband and wife Silas Toball and Angi Sullis, invite you to a true world of Wonderlands, Fairytales and Stardust at their Duirwaigh Studios. Link: Duirwaigh Studios. I was absolutely mesmerized when I visited for the first time. I loved it!
I stumbled upon the site when I was searching for colorful templates for a new blog/website, and wow, they had color. They can absolutely offer some fun to liven up your day! Their wedding was a proper, fully furnished, Alice in Wonderland Teaparty, with a big Hat! So they know how to live their lives happy and without limitations, in Magic and Reverence for life's Wondrous things. A true inspiration* This video is velvety soft, airy and yummie, whilst their first inspirational video, A Knock at the Door, is a bit more magic in the forest, elfish and earthly. I love to be inspired by people and their doings, so please enjoy My Wish for You*

"Stop, drop and meditate"
*Thanksgiving & the Moon in its Balsamic phase*
Retreat, Reflect and give thanks,
Rever the all-encompassing Divine
Rever the all-encompassing Divine

If we use the influence of this Moon phase, when the moon returns to darkness, to breathe deeply, find our Quiet zone and simply relax, we will for sure feel energized and refreshed when the next cycle begins. The New Moon is around the corner, in a few hours actually, so I am going to use a few minutes before going to sleep and consciously honor and give thanks to the bountiful Universe within and around me. To ask for a fresh new start when I wake up tomorrow morning and to be blessed with regained vigor and courage, after all it will be a New Moon in Sagittarius.
I encourage us all for next month, when all the Christmas craze will be at its peak, to remember to use the potency of the Balsamic Moon phase, the last 2/3 days of the Lunar cycle, and as one clever John said: “Stop, Drop, and Meditate.” It will give a great start to a New Year, the auspicious 2012*
TRANSITION:
Many believe that the year 2012 carries great importance for the Earth and us humans. An even bigger reason for really using those precious few days preceding Christmas 2011 for retreating, healing and dreaming of the future. It will be the transition between the death of the old and the birth of the new. I have therefore decided to do all my X-mas preperations in time this year, so I can embrace the coming of Christmas without stressing, like happens almost every year. This time I want to enjoy the candle lights, the music and the sweet scent of newly baked goodies. I want to celebrate the sacredness of the Winter Solstice on the 22nd, the rebirth of Light, so graciously supported by the Lunar Cycle's New Moon on Christmas Eve the 24th. How beautiful is that? A true Masterpiece*
“The dark phase of the cyclical process is a phase of healing and renewal rather than one of fear and unknowing; a time of mystery, wisdom, and healing power ~ All gifts of the Dark Moon Goddess.”
